When a worker is injured on the job, Worker’s Compensation covers the medical costs. However, compensable claims (wage replacement) can be very costly to the employer’s rates. There are two reimbursement programs that can financially support a Return to Work Culture.

The Stay at Work Program offers a 10,000 financial incentive to employers if they bring their injured workers back to work while on restrictions.

The Legislature has recently enhanced the Preferred Worker Program to offer an incentive when the restrictions change from temporary to permanent.

These two programs together are legislatively created reimbursements and can reimburse employers over $36,000.
